Christopher H. Evans (Ph.D., Northwestern University) is Sallie Knowles Crozer Professor of Church History, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, Rochester, New York. He is the author and editor of several books, including, The Faith of Fifty Million: Baseball, Religion, and American Culture (2002), and The Social Gospel Today (2001). In 2005 The Kingdom is Always but Coming won the "Award of Merit" for outstanding title in history/biography in Christianity Today magazine. He lives in Penfield, New York. An ordained United Methodist minister, Evans also serves as a parish associate at Christ Episcopal Church, Pittsford, NY.
